Doorway Capital is an approved non-lawyer owner of, and equity investor in, firms of solicitors. Our approval by the SRA to invest directly in law firms that hold, or will hold, an ABS licence means we can act as a corporate member of a LLP or, provided that our shareholding will not be less than 12%, an ordinary shareholder of a limited company. An equity investment from Doorway Capital should be of real interest to a law firm looking for a partner to help finance acquisitions and/or steady organic growth without them having to rely on internally generated earnings or their partners own capital.
